So sorry about all the embodiment horror you've had to deal with! I hope the surgery and nonsense ends quickly, and I'm 100% in for any and all Lady Horror!
Have you ever thought about doing a con together and then sticking a little longer and making a trip out it?
Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Connor did something similar a couple of years ago I think after a con in Ghent, and went for a vacation trip to see Brussels, Antwerp and more…
Seriously, nothing but best wishes for the both of you. Apparently everyone's extended warranties are expiring: in my case, my appendix tried to murder me at the end of 2023, and you know things were bad when the official surgeon's report on pulling out my intestines and vacuuming out my abdominal cavity included the words "poop grenade." (Swear to Elvis: I may get that report framed and put up in my office.) If you or Fraction need anything with which I can help, please let me know: I understand that listening to me talk about carnivorous plants for an hour is a holistic and nonchemical general anesthetic that often leads to week-long comas, so if either of you want to get caught up on REM sleep...
Don't get me started. (What's really bad about sharing a surname with a really crappy sports supplier isn't that I'm always asked about "your share" whenever a Riddell football helmet shows up in Dallas Cowboys games, and I have to explain, YET AGAIN, that the Riddells have been breeding like rats since about 1064 and my branch traded sports supply fame for blackout alcoholism back around Gunpowder Treason. No, my problem is with the people who see my surname and go "Oh, like the high school in 'Grease,' right?" and I have to point out that they obviously can't spell, either.)
I don't know about Lady Horror tentacle couture (I say this as a tentacle-lover, too, so I say it mostly because it sounds very spendy), but I would *at least* buy a Lady Horror T-shirt.
Kick that surgery's butt, obliterate stinky gobs, reject the jaw embryo legacy with profound fortitude and be well while winning deserved awards! <3
Good luck with the surgery, and with the Eisners! Hopefully we see you two back at Heroes someday soon! I was thrilled getting to watch Matt’s “In the Stacks” video a few days back, as well.

Wow, that tooth story! THAT was an adventure!
Super timely, thank you! 🙏🏼
Good luck with the surgery!
About the vacation situation.

Oh, I see: you meant "Poop Grenade." That's the name of my new frozen yogurt chain.
Oh no, good luck to both of you with recovery!

Life......life!!!
Sing it.
Great read this morning with my coffee. I find I’m now thinking on retreats vs. vacations with my wife. All the best to you and your family.
Honestly — and I mean this utterly sincerely — a “great read this morning with my coffee” is everything I want to be.
Lovely post. Miss you both!
Best of luck with the surgery.
Oh, and StarHenge 2 hits stores today. Wish me luck! X
Congratulations!
Thank you! :-)
Wishing you good luck with the surgery. May Lady Horror shine her blessings upon you!
I serve at the pleasure of her majesty.
Until this moment, I did not know how much I wanted a t-shirt that reads "I serve at the pleasure of Her Majesty, Lady Horror"
