Pre-Order ODY-C
the subscriber so nice they named you twice.
Hey all. We are doing our level best to wrap the week's work up before leaving on a jet plane to NEW YORK CITY -- in NEW YORK -- for NYCC '14.
- matt fraction -
This is the long and the short of it all for me at NYCC -- I dunno why stuff is ticketed (usually it's crowd control) or how to get 'em; all that stuff is outside of my control. That said, I'm gonna linger until there's no one left and I'll not leave early to make sure everyone gets signed whatever they want signed.
I don't charge anything. I'll sign anything I wrote. I'll sign as many things as you want signed, assuming I wrote 'em (or had something to do with it).

I is for Impact (room 1A06)
No matter how weird of an idea you may have, if you can hook someone, they’ll be a reader for life. Frank Quitely (JUPITER’S LEGACY), Wes Craig (DEADLY CLASS), Matt Fraction (SEX CRIMINALS), Steve Orlando (UNDERTOW), James Robinson (THE SAVIORS), Roc Upchurch (RAT QUEENS) and Brian K. Vaughan (SAGA) take strange ideas and turn them into intensely relatable and entertaining comics. Now, they’re going to share their secrets and talk about how fun it is to make the unreal real.

Now's a great time to preorder ODY-C #1:
And if you're not sure what that means or why that's a good thing for independent books like ours, now might be a good time to investigate pre-ordering.

I can't find a description for this one - looks like it's not been added to the official schedule yet...? (And honestly, I think it's up against the ONE Women of Color in Comics panel. Vulture Presents Carol Corps and Beyond: The Future of Female Fandom, 1A10
Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel and Batgirl have sparked an explosion of enthusiasm and visibility for women in comics. Female leads have been present since the dawn of comics, so why is their popularity only seeing a rise now? Some say the internet is responsible – but if that’s true, why didn't this happen 15 years ago? And what role, if any, do leading ladies' portrayals onscreen play? Most importantly, we must keep this momentum going and not let this be just a flash in the pan!

I'm going to Fraction's thing. I think. I don't know. He told me 7:30. Up there it says it's only 8 minutes long and starts at 7pm. I think he's full of shit. Who knows? Anyway, if you're a nice not-creepy person, come hang out with me because I'm scared. If anyone shows me their dick I will stab it. I'm serious.
